By public transit:
There is train service to Newburyport from North Station, and then taxi or rideshare from there to Liberty St. (It’s about a mile walk)
By car:
From the South: Simplest directions: Take Rt. 1 N from Boston all the way to the Newburyport Traffic Circle where Rt. 1 bears off to the left – basically go straight through the traffic circle, and you will be on State St. About half a mile up and over a low hill, you come to High St. (Rt. 1A), and turn right, then immediately left onto Fruit St., go six short blocks straight down, soon passing Essex St., Middle St. and then turn right on Liberty. The Tannery will be on your left 50 yards in. Look for a yoga studio and ZFDM.
Driving from the North: Take Rt. 95 to the Rt. 133 / Newburyport exit, and follow signs to downtown Newburyport. Rt. 133 eventually becomes Rt. 1A (High St.), and you will come to the lights at State St. Take the next left on Fruit, and follow the last instructions from above.
Driving from the West: If you are coming by Rt. 495, you will need to look for Rt. 110 E to take you to Rt. 95 South. Follow the directions above (from the North)
Parking: No problem parking. There are parking lots surrounding all the Tannery buildings, safe from city ticketing.
